Activity 6- Write a Letter to the Ugly Duckling

Give the students a worksheet (a letter template) with the following instructions at the top.

Instructions to Students
Situation: The Ugly Duckling is your best friend. He lives far away from you. He writes you a letter. He tells you that the other ducklings are mean to him. They make fun of him and pick on him all the time. They call him names and tell him that he is ugly. No one will play with him. He feels very sad and lonely.

Assignment: Write a letter to the Ugly Duckling. Tell him three things to make him feel better. Let him know that you care.
