| Step 3. Reading
The Ugly Duckling - (2 or more class periods) |

Tell the students that they will read The Ugly Duckling on
CD-ROM. Seat two or three students at each computer. |

Have the students read at their own pace. |
 |
As each group finishes reading the story, have them go to
their desks or tables and work together on Activity
Sheet 1 and Activity Sheet
2. Circulate to provide support. |

When the students have completed the worksheets, go over them
together in class. |
